RMS Voltage
The RMS (root mean squared) signal voltage is:
\(\sqrt{\color{red}{0.5v^2}}\)
(\sqrt{\color{red}{0.5v^2}}\)
Example:
Peak mains voltage in the UK is approx: 325.27 V, so the RMS voltage is:
\(\sqrt{\color{red}{0.5(325.27 V)^2}}\) = 230 VRMS
